Metacam for Dogs
Metacam is a liquid non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug used primarily in the treatment of arthritis in dogs and cats. It is produced by a pharmaceutical company called Boehringer Ingelheim and is a prescription only medicine. This means you can only use Metacam for your dog if it has been prescribed for your dog by your veterinary surgeon.
You can however ask your veterinary surgeon for a prescription for Metacam and source it from elsewhere, such as another vet, a high street pharmacist or an online veterinary dispensary such as Vetscript.co.uk. You may well find that this is the most cost effective way of obtaining Metacam, which your dog may require for many years.
After you have paid for your Metacam, you must fax or post a copy of your completed Vet's prescription to us.
